'Privileged' to tell stories through photographs: meet Adeline, our contest judge

Posted by Colin Strachan on

As the beautiful entries to our fall photo contest continue to roll in, we wanted to tell you a bit more about who will be judging the winner.

Adeline Leonti understands the value of a good story more than most. The award-winning Montreal photographer started her professional journey as a journalist - but found herself opting for the camera more than her pen and notepad, to satisfy a passion for telling stories through images. She went on to complete specialized studies in photojournalism.

Having established her photography company Avant Garde Studio, Adeline now specializes in wedding photography and believes her journalistic skills help her to understand, anticipate and capture all the important and precious moments of a couple's big day.

"I feel very privileged to 'tell the story' of memorable moments at an event, capturing all the beauty and authenticity of the environment, while enjoying the freedom of expression and creativity that I experience through photography," she said.

And this is why we considered her a perfect fit to judge our fall photo contest, which has inspired people from all over North America to tell stories about themselves using creative photos.

Entrants who submit a photo by Monday, Decemeber 1 will have the chance to win free custom jewelry, either cufflinks, earrings or a pendant. If you haven't entered yet, it's time to get snapping!
